Girls from families affected by leprosy often face barriers to education due to stigma, poverty, and limited access to learning opportunities. With support from Ms. Mette Jorstad and the Gramya Resource Centre, founded by Dr. V. Rukmini Rao, LEPRA Society implements the Girl Child Education programme aim to promote education, empowerment, and independence among girls from leprosy-affected families.
Implemented in Odisha and Chhattisgarh.
